KVKK Disclosure Notice
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This KVKK Disclosure Notice explains how Unitic processes your personal data as a controller under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), Turkey’s data protection law. For our full privacy practices, see the Privacy Policy.
Data Controller
The data controller for personal data processed under this notice is Unitic, a subsidiary of unitic.co.
When we build an experience for a client, any personal data of that client’s end users is processed on the client’s behalf and under our agreement with them. In those cases the client is the controller and their own privacy policy governs that data; this notice covers only the data we handle as a controller for our own purposes.
How We Collect Data and What We Collect
We collect what you choose to provide when you use our contact form or email us (your name, email address, phone number, company name, website and the contents of your message), when you sign up for our newsletter (your email address), when you apply for a role (your CV, contact details and work history), and when we meet at an event or discuss a potential project (contact details and notes needed to follow up).
We may also automatically collect limited technical data about your device and browsing — such as browser type and settings, device and operating system, IP address and the approximate location derived from it, referring pages, and how you interact with the site — and receive limited information from other sources, such as our service providers, analytics tools or publicly available professional profiles.
Purposes of Processing
We process your data to respond to your enquiries, communicate with you, and discuss and carry out potential projects; to operate, maintain, secure and improve the website and our Services; to send newsletters and updates where you have asked to receive them; to assess and manage job applications and our recruitment process; and to protect against fraud, abuse and security threats and comply with legal obligations.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where Turkish data protection law (KVKK) applies, we process your data on the corresponding grounds, including your explicit consent and our legitimate interests, as well as the other lawful bases set out in the KVKK.
Transfer of Personal Data
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf to help us run the site and our communications (for example hosting, form handling, email and analytics), and only to the extent needed to provide those services; with our affiliates for the business purposes described in this notice; and where required to comply with the law or to protect rights.
We are based in Turkey and may process data using service providers located in other countries, including outside Turkey and the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps — such as relying on appropriate safeguards like standard contractual clauses — to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable law.
Data Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice — for example, to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, to manage your newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe, or to run a recruitment process — and then delete or anonymise it, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Your Rights as a Data Subject (KVKK Article 11)
Under the KVKK you have the rights set out in Article 11, including learning whether your data is processed and requesting that it be corrected, deleted or destroyed.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu).
